Today, as I was having lunch I couldn't avoid sneaking into the private life of the couple I had right in front of me - they were stroking each other right there across my salad. And it dawned on me, couples that old don't fondle anymore, not if they are married. Strikingly enough they were not remarkable in any aspect, they were quite average -in their forties. She was all wrinkles, dyed hair, extremely boring clothes, not even a decent cleavage; he was balding, no striking features, rather on the ugly side, without really being it. Quite average, office worker attires.
So I remembered my last Friday affair and I linked events, what makes a man feel attracted by a woman? It's clear for me that what magazines insist on telling teenagers is definitely NOT the truth, I have had my experiences that thoroughly contradict what they consistently shoot us with -Friday night, this lunch couple, years ago (and I mean not THAT much) have insisted on throwing at my face that men don't seek sex appeal, a slender figure, fashionable clothes... well, not even high heels. Still, it leaves me no answer, what do men want? How about that Chaucer?
According to the Renaissance world picture, life was like a wheel of fortune, where you are sometimes up and sometimes down. You just have to remember that when you are up you will eventually come down (to take measures accordinlgy, not to be pessimistic) and when you are down you will not stay there forever, you WILL get on top.
